Here is the place where I post some information related to Gate Keepers,

but something that seems can't be fitted in any other sections.

This page would be constantly update as long as I can get new stuff about it...

CD Information

If I have not mistaken, there should be 2 albums for the game version,

and some more for the Anime which will not be introduced here.

I will briefly talk about the albums. For more information,

please take a look of my other GK site: Gate Keepers Lyrics Database.

Now here's the Gate Keepers Game Sound Track.
It contains all the background music from the game.
And there's several pieces of information on the
pamphlet which included the meaning of A.E.G.I.S. and
its branches, the secret of Invaders and their naming.
It also have an interview transcript with Tanaka
Kouhei, the one who creates the music in GK. There's
only one vocal song, which is the ending of the game
"Omoide no Nagisa", the singer is Sakurai Takahiro
a.k.a. Ukiya Shun in the game.

This CD, the Gate Keepers Vocal Album, contains only
vocal songs from the game. It had 9 songs including
the opening "Gate Keepers 1970" and the image songs
of the 8 Gate Keeper Girls. For those who didn't own /
play the game, this album may not be as good as
those TV albums. But this is the only album with
 Yukino's, Misao's and Jun's songs, I think it's worth to
buy even you know 0% of the game.

Anime of Gate Keepers

When we talked about Gate Keepers, most people will talk about the animated version

as there's only a very few people in this world who own the game.

As everyone knows this series is a game-turned Anime,

there should be a lot of things and plots which are adapted from the game.

Here, I'll try to explain those common points and the difference.

I may not be new to GK, but at the same time, I still have a lot to learn about the series.

So if there's anything wrong, please tell me about it.

Mysteries of Sequels

All right, this game starts at the year of 1969.

And you ask whether it has a story which features the modern time.

OF COURSE IT HAS! One of them is a 6-episode OVA series: Gate Keepers 21.

Another one, which was released on 1st Feb., 2003, is the novel Gate Keepers 1985.

Both of the stories happened 15-30 years after the first series.

And they mostly based on the Anime version.

But whatever, I'll rant something about them anyway.

I'll have to give a warning though: Even I DID own both the GK21 and GK1985,

my Japanese aren't very up-to-standard. So I can't guarantee the info are correctly translated.

Anyway, I hope you can enjoy this little bit of information that I've found...
